Summer Reading Challenge

Congratulations to all pupils, and their parents, who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge. Pupils had to read 6 books between July-September to complete the challenge, they collected stickers for each book they read and there were online activities to take part in and clues to find to help them solve a mystery!

All pupils who completed the challenge received an invitation to go along to Southsea Castle in September to collect their certificate and medal. There was a treasure hunt at the castle as well as storytelling time in the mobile library and the Gruffalo and Horrid Henry were there to meet the children on the day. Every child that completed the challenge was able to choose a brand new book from our Lighthouse Library prize box. If your child completed the challenge and hasn’t received their prize from school, please bring in their certificate and show it to Miss Pullen. This year we had twice the amount of children complete the challenge than last year, so they have set a new record at Ark Ayrton, WELL DONE! Will we beat it next year?
